Map the System is a competition for MRU student changemakers to showcase their research, systems mapping, and presentation skills on a global stage. This opportunity is open to all MRU students and recent graduates. Map the System Canada is managed by The Institute for Community Prosperity.

Registration for the next Map the System will open in December 2024.

Changemakers Bulletin is a monthly e-newsletter complied by Trico Changemakers Studio. The bulletin is a one-stop changemaking resource, sharing student opportunities, events, and inspiration!

Changemaker Bookclub is an opportunity to come together and discuss big ideas, and learn intellectually and emotionally as we seek wisdom from books and each other.

Bookclub is held at 12:00PM MST on the last Wednesday of each month at the Trico Changemaker Studio. All are welcome to join the bookclub, this is an-person event and registration is not required. You can learn more about the fall series book selections here.

Anitopisi Learning Circles are a space to gather with Indigenous and non-Indigneous people to learn about, and engage with, processes of reconciliation. We will sit in circle with Indigenous Elders and Knowledge Keepers, and engage with ways of knowing and being that will help us move forward in good ways together.

The Learning Circles will be held February to May, 2024 on the last Wednesday of the month. All are welcome and registration is required, you can learn more here.


MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

The Catamount Fellowship is a cohort-based learning experience for Mount Royal University students committed to building a more just and sustainable future for all. The program runs from late September through the end of April and meets weekly. Offered by the Institute for Community Prosperity.

Applications for the 2023-24 Fellowship will open in August 2024. The Insititute for Community Prosperity hosts an open house on the program in August, prior to the application deadline. You can learn more about the program, eligibility, and what’s needed for the application process here.

Changemaker Conversations is a space for generative dialogue, meaningful connection and inspiration. We believe that everyone is a changemaker and that by sharing our stories, experience and knowledge, we activate and inspire the work of social change. Offered by Trico Changemakers Studio.

Conversations are held twice a month, between October and May. You can learn more about the conversations and register here.

Student Changemaker Network is a ratified SAMRU student-run club where students can come together to learn about, engage with, and take action on Sustainable Development Goals.

connectFirst Social Entrepreneurs is a program designed for senior-level students seeking to create real change using economic tools to address complex social change. Students receive a $500 cash award and certificate of completion upon successfully completing all sessions of the program. Offered by the Institute for Community Prosperity.

Applications will reopen in Fall 2024.
