SPARK! Canadian Social Innovation Exchange

  • Daniels Spectrum and Centre for Social Innovation in Regent Park Toronto 585 Dundas Street East Toronto, ON, M5A 2B7 Canada (map)

Do you design or implement social and environmental programs, advance new policy, work to improve communities or shift deeper systems? This gathering of 250+ social innovators is for you.

Catalyzed by leadership from practitioners from across Canada, SiG, the McConnell Foundation, CKX and the Centre for Social Innovation are working with collaborators from across sectors to organize this unique national gathering. Beyond showcasing innovative practice and enabling knowledge exchange, the intent is to explore strategies and platforms to support social innovation in Canada moving forward.

We start from the premise that Canada -- and the world -- faces huge challenges that can only be solved through collaboration across all sectors -- public, private, and civil society. Spark! will facilitate the exchange of ideas among people with experience of working intentionally toward change. Whether it's education, climate change, social and economic inclusion -- whatever issue you are working on, Spark! seeks to promote learning, connect participants from across silos or regions, and forge a renewed commitment to concerted action.

Spark! brings together Canadian and local champions of social innovation and includes many voices with diverse perspectives on social innovation practices.  We are engaging front-line practitioners and anchor institutions across sectors, including government, financial institutions and funders who are supporting social innovation

This is a shared story, and through Spark! we will widen the discussion and co-create new possibilities to advance social innovation in Canada.
